Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University organizes Diponegoro Clinical Internship Summer Course 2019. It is a clinical internship program which consists of hospital-based internship and community-based internship. The aims are to introduce medical students from outside Indonesia, especially those from sub-tropical countries, on the health issues and management in Indonesia. This Summer Course is designed to promote the internationalization of UNDIP, particularly the Faculty of Medicine, through the most interesting topics in medicine and facilitated by Faculty’s center of excellences.
Medical students who are in their clinical rotation step (5th – 6th year), are expected to join. The duration of this program is 1-month (4 weeks), between April and September 2019. The international students are expected to enjoy the tropical areas while pursuing academics and indulging in Indonesian culture, especially Central Java.
During this program, some topics are offered including Tropical Infection, Maternal and Child Health, Surgery and Neosurgery, and students can also propose for other topics that they are interested in. All the topics will be learned in several hospital and primary health care center (Puskesmas) such as National Diponegoro University Hospital – Semarang, Dr. Kariadi General Hospital – Semarang, Puskesmas Mlonggo – Jepara, and Puskesmas Halmahera – Semarang.
At the end of the program, the participants will receive a certificate of participation and assessment results.
