SEMARANG – The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip), welcomed a benchmarking visit from Mindanao State University (MSU), Philippines, on Wednesday (January 21, 2026). The visit to FK Undip was part of a continuing series of activities following the MSU delegation’s visit to Universitas Diponegoro on the previous day.
The MSU delegation was represented by Dr. Leah Louise Vega Justiniano, M.D. (Dean of the College of Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist) and Dr. Athena Jalaliyah D. Lawi (Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Gerontology Nurse). During their visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with the Dean of FK Undip, Prof. Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K), the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, dr. Muflihatul Muniroh, M.Si.Med., Ph.D, representative of Diponegoro National Hospital (dr. Santoso, M.Si.Med, Sp.N, the Clinical Education Coordination Committee), as well as heads of the Medical Education, Nursing, Nutrition, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Programs.

The benchmarking visit aimed to assess best practices in academic achievement and administrative governance, strengthen international relations and networks, and explore potential collaborations in education, research, and health human resource development. In addition, the visit served to promote the internationalization of higher education, enhance institutional capacity, and foster mutual cultural and academic understanding between the two institutions.
During the discussion sessions, both parties exchanged insights on curriculum development and academic implementation at FK Undip, including the management of clinical education and efforts to strengthen academic quality. The meeting provided an opportunity to share experiences in developing health education systems that are responsive to global demands.

Beyond academic discussions, the MSU delegation conducted site visits to several flagship facilities within FK Undip and Universitas Diponegoro, including the Medical Anatomy Learning Center (MAL-C), the Skill Laboratory of the Department of Nursing, Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND), Biomedical Research Center Laboratory, and the Diponegoro Medical Simulation Center (DMSC).

Through this benchmarking activity, FK Undip reaffirmed its commitment to expanding international cooperation and advancing high-quality medical education with global competitiveness, grounded in cross-border collaboration.(Public Relations, Faculty of Medicine Undip)
