Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University carried out the Doctor Oath-taking Ceremony Period 242, Dentist Oath-taking Ceremony period 2, and Specialist Doctors Graduation in Multipurpose Room, Building A, Tembalang. In this meaningful ceremony, doctor candidates have taken their oath, which means they will enter a new chapter in their journey as health workers. This oath-taking ceremony and specialist doctor graduation is not only a historical moment in their lives, but also a proof of their commitment to provide high-quality medical services to the society.
This activity started by reading the names of the new doctors by Dr. dr. Trilaksana Nugroho, M.Kes., Sp.M as Chair of the Department of Medicine and continued with the reading of the names of the new specialist doctors by dr. Dwi Ngestiningsih, M.Kes., Sp.PD.K-Ger., FINASIM as Chair of the Specialist Medicine Department. After that, the signing of the diploma and the distribution of the academic transcript was carried out by the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University.
Furthermore, the signing of the diploma and the submission of grade transcripts was carried out by the Dean and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University.
Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum as the Rector of Diponegoro University in his remark congratulated the new doctors and specialists who have successfully completed their education at Diponegoro University. He mentioned that the doctor is a noble profession, so it should not be tainted. According to him, integrity is an important virtue to have in life as a doctor in carrying out their duties as health workers in society.
“Medical education is a very special education since it will educate its people to be noble people. Therefore, the early traces of this doctor’s education cannot be tainted by negative things”, he explained.
Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum advised and hoped that doctors would always stick to the good principles and be sincere in carrying out their noble duties as health workers serving the community.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. dr. Dwi Pudjonarko, M.Kes, Sp.S(K) as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine also congratulated the doctors for their success in completing their education. He hoped that the title of doctor they have granted will bring benefits for themselves, their families, and societies. Prof. Dr. dr. Dwi Pudjonarko, M.Kes, Sp.S(K) or who is familiarly known as Prof. Onang also advised them to always maintain the good name of the alma mater, establish good communication, and always remember the doctor’s oath in carrying out their duties.
