Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University hosted a campus visit of SMAN 1 Babelan on Thursday (06/15/2023) in Theatrical Room, Faculty of Medicine. This campus visit was aiming at conducting sharing session regarding university admissions. It is one of the school’s attempt to equip students with an overview of higher education.
Head of the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, dr. Muflihatul Muniroh, M.Sc., Med., Ph.D., welcomed SMAN 1 Babelan’s students and teachers and gave a brief presentation about the study programs in the Faculty of Medicine. This faculty has 5 study programs, including Medicine, Pharmacy, Nutrition Science, Nursing, and Dentistry study programs.
“The Medical Study Program is the oldest study program, which was founded on October 1, 1961. Followed by Nursing, Nutrition, Pharmacy, and Dentistry Study Programs,” he explained.
dr. Muflihatul Muniroh, M.Sc., Med., Ph.D or usually called Doctor Liha also explained that last year’s admission quota for new students in the Medical Study Program was 250 students. However, this year there is an additional quota in accordance with the latest regulations reaching 300 students. This visit is expected to increase the enthusiasm of students in preparing to continue their study in higher education, especially in the Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University.
Debora Panjaitan, S.Pd. as Deputy Head of Student Affairs at SMAN 1 Babelan expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome given by the Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University, thereby increasing the enthusiasm of students in participating in this activity.
“We hope that the campus can provide tips, tricks, to be able to register and join this beloved campus,” he said.
In the next session, a profile video was shown to provide a visual overview of general information about Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University, starting from history, facilities, and infrastructure. After that, a question and answer session was opened which lasted for approximately 30 minutes. Both the students and teachers enthusiastically asked information about Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University’s admission, lecture life, tuition, and other general information.
At the end of the event, a memento was handed over from the school to the Faculty of Medicine and vice versa. This was done as a form of gratitude for the visit made to one of the best campuses. Lastly, a group photo session was held as documentation as well as closing the activity.
