SEMARANG — A total of 13 students and lecturers from Japan visited Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND), the main teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip), on Thursday, March 26, 2026. The visit was part of the 3rd Series of the Summer Course in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine, organized by the Public Health Study Program of FK Undip in collaboration with Tottori University and Kagoshima University.

The delegation was welcomed by the Human Resources Manager of RSND, Dr. Annta Kern Nugrohowati, M.Si., Sp.GK. During the session, RSND representatives presented an overview of the clinical education system for medical interns and residents as an integral part of the teaching hospital environment.
Following the presentation, participants toured several key service units at RSND, including the Emergency Department, Medical Rehabilitation Clinic, Internal Medicine Clinic, and Cardiology Clinic. The visit provided firsthand insights into healthcare services as well as the integrated clinical education system implemented at RSND.

The program continued with visits to several laboratories at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro. Participants explored the Medical Anatomy Learning Center (MAL-C) with Dr. Ferdy Kurniawan Cayami, M.Si.Med., Ph.D., and Dr. dr. Nydia Rena Benita Sihombing, M.Si.Med., who explained cadaver-based anatomy learning methods.

The delegation also observed activities in the wet laboratory as a platform for practicum and research on endemic diseases, guided by Dr. Ryan Halleyantoro, M.Biomed., Sp.Par.K. The visit concluded with a tour of the animal laboratory, accompanied by Dr. Pulong Wijang Pralampita, Ph.D.
Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the program, actively engaging in discussions and exploring various learning facilities while gaining insights into the medical education system at FK Undip.

Through this Public Health Summer Course program, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro reaffirms its commitment to expanding international collaboration, enhancing the quality of education, and providing comprehensive learning experiences for both domestic and international students.
