850 New Students Officially Join the FK Undip Family, Dean Emphasizes Integrity, Ethics, and Clinical Skills

SEMARANG – The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip) officially welcomed 850 new students during the Orientation Program for New Students (PKKMB) and Character Education Program (Pendikar), held from August 10 to 14, 2026, at the FK Undip Campus in Tembalang. The program is designed to equip new students with a comprehensive understanding of the university’s academic culture, campus life, and the fundamental values that serve as the foundation for developing competent and professional healthcare practitioners.

A total of 850 new students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro, participated in the 2026 Orientation Program for New Students (PKKMB) on Monday (August 10) at the FK Undip Campus in Tembalang, Semarang.

 

The Dean of FK Undip, Prof. Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K), congratulated the hundreds of new students who have officially become part of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro. In his welcoming address, Prof. Yan emphasized the ten core qualities that every FK Undip student is expected to develop.

“There are ten essential qualities that every student should possess: integrity and ethics, empathy and compassion, a commitment to lifelong learning, evidence-based critical thinking, effective communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in teams, mastery of medical knowledge and clinical skills, creativity and innovation, commitment, and a dedication to serving society,” he said.

Prof. Yan noted that the new students would encounter a wide range of challenges and learning experiences that will shape them into competent healthcare professionals. He also reaffirmed FK Undip’s commitment to supporting their academic and personal development, enabling them to grow, excel, and make meaningful contributions to society.

 

A total of 850 new students at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro, took part in the 2026 Orientation Program for New Students (PKKMB), held on Monday (August 10, 2026) at the FK Undip Campus in Tembalang, Semarang.

 

In her report, the Chair of the 2026 FK Undip PKKMB and Character Education Program (Pendikar) Organizing Committee, dr. Rizky Rakhmayanti, Sp.P.D., stated that the 850 new students were enrolled across five undergraduate study programs: 285 students in the Undergraduate Medical Program, 47 in the Undergraduate Dentistry Program, 248 in the Undergraduate Nursing Program, 171 in the Undergraduate Nutrition Program, and 99 in the Undergraduate Pharmacy Program. The orientation was organized into two phases, with the first two days dedicated to PKKMB, followed by the three-day Character Education Program (Pendikar).

“This year, the first day of the PKKMB program was conducted in a hybrid format, combining onsite and online participation. The event was broadcast live from the Multipurpose Hall of the Mayjen dr. R. Soewondo Sastrodiprojo Building, FK Undip, allowing all new students to take part,” said dr. Rizky on Monday (August 10, 2026).

The opening ceremony was attended by the faculty leadership, professors, heads of departments, heads and secretaries of study programs, lecturers, administrative staff, and new students from all study programs.
