Academic Collaboration: Visiting Lecture and Course in Community & Family Medicine

Monday (04/03/2024). The Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Diponegoro University held a Guest Lecture and Academic Collaboration, collaborating with the Department of Community-based Family Medicine, Tottori University, Japan and Radboud University Medical Center, the Netherlands. The event, held on March 4-8, 2024, in Semarang and Jepara Regency, was opened by the Dean of FK Undip, Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk (K). The delegation from Tottori University consisted of 3 lecturers, those are Prof. Shinichi Taniguchi, MD, PhD, Young Lee, MD, and Tsubasa Nakai, MD, and 7 students, namely Koki Kawagishi, Ayumi Hirota, Yumeka Mizuno, Yurina Kimura, Naka Nohama, Kiki Leijten and Julie Valerie Isha Urlings.

The series of activities began with a Visiting Lecture on Monday by presenting speakers, those are, Prof. Shinichi Taniguchi, MD, PhD, Prof. dr. Tri Nur Kristina, PhD and dr. Dea Amarilisa Adespin, M.Kes, FISPH, FISCM. The event, which also involved the Semarang City Health Office, also carried out activities outside the classroom, such as activities at Diponegoro National Hospital, Permata Graha Syifa Clinic Gunung Pati Semarang and visits to health centres and posyandu in Semarang City and Jepara Regency. Some of the health centres visited were Ngesrep Health Center and Ngaliyan Health Center in Semarang City, as well as Mlonggo Health Center and Pakis Aji Health Center in Jepara Regency. In these activities, the Japanese and Dutch delegations learned about the primary health care and Indonesian health care systems.
