Friday, September 1, 2023. Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University broke a new milestone in the field of medical education by holding a visitation for the opening of the Internal Medicine Subspecialty Study Program on Thursday (31/8) in the Multipurpose Room, Building A, Dean Building, Tembalang. This event, which took place from August 31 – September 2, 2023, is a form of the UNDIP Faculty of Medicine’s strong commitment to improve the quality of medical education and produce doctors who focus on developing sophisticated diagnostic skills in mastering internal medicine.
Visitation was carried out by Dr. Mariatul Fadilah, MARS, Sp.KKLP, PhD and dr. Vonny Nouva Tubagus, Sp.Rad(K) as the Indonesian Medical Council Team to provide an assessment of this study program. During their visit, the Diponegoro University Faculty of Medicine has demonstrated their commitment to high educational standards, adequate facilities, and a relevant curriculum. With the opening of the Internal Medicine Sub-Specialist Study Program, it is hoped that there will be a significant increase in the provision of quality medical services in Indonesia.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Dr. Dwi Pudjonarko, M.Kes, Sp.S(K), stated, “This program is a program that has been eagerly awaited. “This internal medicine subspecialty program was opened to answer the need for specialist doctors.” He stated that this visitation was carried out as a form of the Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to producing quality graduates according to established standards.
This event was attended by academics, medical practitioners and important figures in the world of health to provide strong support for this innovative step in advancing health services in Indonesia. On this occasion, the Deputy Chancellor I of Diponegoro University, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed his thanks to the Indonesian Medical Council Team who had provided many suggestions and input. Prof. Faisal hoped that the suggestions and input provided can produce the best results in the visitation process this time.
It is hoped that the opening of this internal medicine subspecialty study program will answer increasingly complex needs in the health sector. With support from visits and from various parties, the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, is ready to produce graduates who can overcome modern medical challenges and contribute to improve the quality of health service in Indonesia.
