SEMARANG – The Dietitian Professional Study Program under the Department of Nutrition Science, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip), has been awarded Excellent Accreditation (Akreditasi Unggul) based on Decree No. 0333/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Pro/V/2026 issued by the Indonesian Association for Independent Accreditation of Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) on May 23, 2026.
This achievement serves as recognition of the quality of the dietitian professional education provided by the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip) and reaffirms the institution’s commitment to producing competent, ethical, and professional healthcare practitioners capable of addressing evolving public health challenges.
The accreditation result reflects the collective efforts and strong collaboration of the entire academic community within the Department of Nutrition Science and the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro. The support of students, alumni, educational staff, clinical training partners, affiliated hospitals, and other stakeholders also played a significant role in attaining this milestone. Head of the Department of Nutrition Science, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro, Gemala Anjani, SP., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the accomplishment.
“This achievement serves as a motivation for us to continuously improve the quality of education and produce graduates who are capable of responding to increasingly complex public health challenges,” she said on Monday (June 8, 2026).

Echoing this sentiment, Head of the Dietitian Professional Study Program, Ahmad Syauqy, S.Gz., M.P.H., Ph.D., Dietitian, stated that the achievement represents not only recognition of the program’s quality but also a commitment to continuously innovate in professional nutrition education.
“We will continue to strengthen the quality of learning, professional practice, and both national and international collaborations to ensure that graduates of the Dietitian Professional Study Program at FK UNDIP possess excellent competencies, uphold professional ethics, adapt to scientific advancements, and are able to provide the highest quality nutrition services to the community,” he said.
The Dietitian Professional Study Program at Universitas Diponegoro is recognized for its learning system, which is integrated with a wide range of professional practice settings, including hospitals, healthcare facilities, the food industry, and community-based services. Students are equipped with competencies in nutritional assessment, intervention planning, nutrition counseling, food service management, and evidence-based practice, all of which are essential components of modern healthcare services. The program also has a distinctive focus on obesity management, preparing graduates to address one of the most pressing public health challenges of the modern era.

Excellent Accreditation is the highest accreditation rating within Indonesia’s higher education accreditation system. The assessment is conducted comprehensively across various aspects, including program governance, the quality of human resources, curriculum design, learning processes, research activities, community service, partnerships, and graduate outcomes.
This Excellent Accreditation achievement is expected to further strengthen the position of the Dietitian Professional Study Program at FK Undip as a professional education institution capable of producing highly qualified dietitians who are responsive to advancements in science and technology and who contribute to improving nutritional status and public health at both the national and global levels.
