Enhancing Education Quality, Clinical Nutrition Residency Program FK UNDIP Undergoes LAM-PTKes Accreditation 2026

SEMARANG – As part of its ongoing efforts to improve and strengthen the quality of medical education, the Clinical Nutrition Residency Program (PPDS) FK UNDIP officially underwent an on-site accreditation assessment by the Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Perguruan Tinggi Kesehatan (LAM-PTKes). The three-day assessment began on Monday (31/8/2026) at the FK UNDIP Campus in Tembalang, Semarang.

The reaccreditation process involved three expert assessors from LAM-PTKes: Prof. Dr. dr. Haerani Rasyid, M.Kes, Sp.PD-KGH, Sp.GK; Dr. dr. Sony Wibisono Mudjanarko, Sp.PD-KEMD, FINASIM; and Prof. Dr. dr. Dedi Rahmadi, Sp.A(K), M.Kes. The assessment team conducted a comprehensive verification of the academic governance and educational services implemented by the Clinical Nutrition Residency Program FK UNDIP.

Undip Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Ir. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., emphasized the importance of ensuring a shared understanding among the entire academic community in preparing for the assessment. The university views accreditation as a strategic evaluation mechanism to produce highly competitive specialist physicians.

“Our goal today is to establish a truly excellent Clinical Nutrition Residency Program. We hope that the input from the assessors will help improve the quality of training for outstanding clinical nutrition specialists,” said the Undip Rectorate representative.

In line with this commitment, Dean of FK UNDIP, Prof. Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K), stated that the on-site assessment serves as an instrument for continuous quality improvement. FK UNDIP remains fully committed to strengthening the capacity of the program through improvements in faculty quality, resident development, innovative research, and stronger educational hospital networks.

“For us, the on-site assessment is not merely a stage toward obtaining accreditation status. More importantly, it is an essential part of the quality culture and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of specialist medical education,” he said.

He expressed hope that the entire assessment process would be conducted in an open, objective, constructive, and productive manner, providing clear direction for the future development of the Clinical Nutrition Residency Program FK UNDIP.

The first day of the accreditation process began with presentations by the faculty leadership and the Head of the Clinical Nutrition Residency Program FK UNDIP, followed by clarification sessions and in-depth discussions with the assessment team. To ensure data transparency and validity, the assessors also conducted separate interviews with representatives of faculty members, residents, administrative staff, and alumni.

The strategic activity was also attended by leaders of partner hospitals, including Head of the Education Functional Unit at RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Dr. dr. Damai Santoso, Sp.PD-KHOM, FINASIM, and Director of Finance and Human Resources of Rumah Sakit Nasional Diponegoro (RSND), Dr. dr. Meita Hendrianingtyas, Sp.PK(K), M.Si.Med. Also present were Chair of LP2MP Undip, Prof. Anis Chariri, S.E., M.Com., Ph.D., Akt., members of the faculty leadership, and the Clinical Nutrition accreditation document preparation team FK UNDIP.

Through this quality assurance process, FK UNDIP is optimistic that it can continue producing clinical nutrition specialists who make meaningful contributions to public health in Indonesia. (Humas FK UNDIP/Sara)
