SEMARANG – As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening a culture of integrity and good governance, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip) organized an Awareness Campaign on Gratification Control, Anti-Bribery, and Risk Management. The event brought together faculty members and administrative staff through both in-person and virtual participation, reinforcing the implementation of transparency, accountability, and corruption prevention principles across the faculty on Friday, June 26, 2026.
SEMARANG – The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip), Prof. Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K). In his opening remarks, he emphasized that integrity serves as the cornerstone of higher education governance. He encouraged all members of the academic community to carry out their responsibilities professionally and objectively while upholding ethical values in every aspect of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.
The first session featured drg. Rizky Merdietio Boedi, M.Sc.Fodont., Ph.D. as the keynote speaker, with Ragil Setia Dianingati, S.Farm., Apt., M.Sc. serving as moderator. The session focused on gratification control and the implementation of the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) within the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip).
During his presentation, drg. Rizky explained that gratification does not necessarily constitute a violation. However, any gift or benefit associated with one’s official position or that has the potential to influence objectivity in carrying out professional duties must be reported in accordance with applicable regulations. He also presented several examples commonly encountered in academic settings, including gifts from students to lecturers, highlighting the importance of distinguishing between acceptable expressions of appreciation and gifts that may create conflicts of interest.
Participants also gained a comprehensive understanding of the gratification reporting mechanism, both through the University Gratification Control Unit (Unit Pengendalian Gratifikasi/UPG) and directly to Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi/KPK). The speaker emphasized that reporting serves as a preventive measure to safeguard both individual and institutional integrity.
The second session featured dr. Farmaditya Eka Putra, M.Si.Med., Ph.D., AHK(K). as the keynote speaker, with Diah Rahayu Wulandari, S.K.M., M.Kes. serving as moderator. The session focused on the implementation of risk management as a key component of strengthening organizational governance.
In his presentation, dr. Farmaditya explained that every organizational unit is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks that could hinder the achievement of institutional objectives. These risks may arise from academic, administrative, service, or operational activities.
Participants were also introduced to the key stages of the risk management process, including risk identification, analysis of causes and potential impacts, assessment of the likelihood of occurrence, and the development of mitigation strategies based on reliable data and verifiable evidence. This systematic approach is expected to enhance organizational effectiveness while minimizing potential institutional risks and losses.
During the discussion session, the speakers addressed a wide range of questions from participants regarding the implementation of gratification control policies in the academic environment. Topics included the permissible limits of gift-giving, reporting procedures for gratuities that cannot be declined, and the practical application of risk management within individual organizational units. The interactive discussion provided participants with practical insights into integrating a culture of integrity into their daily professional activities.
Through this event, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip) reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a clean, professional, transparent, and corruption-free working environment. The awareness campaign is expected to enhance the understanding of all members of the academic community regarding the importance of gratification control, bribery prevention, and risk management as integral components of advancing good university governance.
