Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro, Adriyan Pramono, Enters the Top 5% of the World’s Best Scientists According to the SciRank Global Database

Semarang – A proud achievement has once again been recorded by the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip), as Adriyan Pramono, S.Gz., M.Si., Ph.D., a lecturer in the Department of Nutrition Science, has been ranked among the Top 5% of Global Scientists based on an international ranking released by the SciRank Global Database.

In the ranking, Adriyan Pramono holds a Global Rank of 1,394,797, placing him within a group of scientists recognized for their strong global research contributions. This acknowledgment reflects the impact, quality, and international reputation of research and innovation produced by academics at Universitas Diponegoro.

SciRank Global Database is an academic ranking platform that evaluates researchers based on multiple indicators, including scientific publication productivity, citation impact, research influence, and contributions to scientific advancement. His inclusion in the Top 5% Global Scientists category highlights his consistency and dedication in producing high-quality research, particularly in nutrition science and public health.

Adriyan Pramono is a full-time lecturer with the academic rank of Lektor at the Department of Nutrition Science, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro. Born in Semarang on July 4, 1985, he has pursued nutrition studies from undergraduate to doctoral level. He completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Universitas Diponegoro, and earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nutrition and Translational Research in Metabolism (NUTRIM) at Maastricht University, the Netherlands, in 2020.

As an academic and researcher, he is actively involved in studies on nutrition, metabolism, obesity, non-communicable diseases, public health, and the interaction between gut microbiota and metabolic health. His research outputs have been published in reputable international journals and contribute to addressing global health challenges. His focus areas include biomedical nutrition, molecular nutrition, obesity, insulin resistance, nutrigenomics, and lifestyle-based interventions such as diet and exercise for metabolic disorders.

His academic track record is also reflected in strong bibliometric achievements. Based on data from the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program at Undip, he has produced 83 Google Scholar-indexed publications and 50 Scopus-indexed publications. His works have received approximately 2,910 citations on Google Scholar and 1,446 citations on Scopus, with h-index values of 31 and 19 respectively. These figures demonstrate not only productivity but also significant scientific impact, as his research is widely cited by scholars worldwide.

In recent years, he has published extensively on metabolic diseases and public health, including studies on synbiotic supplementation for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), the relationship between gut microbiota and obesity and insulin resistance, the effects of intermittent fasting on metabolic health, and gene–diet interactions in obesity and metabolic syndrome. These works reflect his commitment to evidence-based solutions for increasingly prevalent health issues.

Beyond research, Adriyan has also developed several innovations that have obtained intellectual property protection. These include a functional kombucha beverage formulation with antidiabetic properties, lindur fruit flour as an anti-obesity agent, and soy-based ice cream enriched with glucomannan to help prevent obesity. These innovations demonstrate a strong link between academic research and real-world applications in functional food development.

His international academic engagement is also evident through research collaborations with scholars from various countries, contributing to studies on obesity management, physical activity, cardiometabolic health, and translational research that bridges laboratory findings with clinical and public health applications.
