Universitas Diponegoro Launches DipoCare Pharmacy as a Center for Public Health Education and Community Healthcare Services

SEMARANG – In an effort to strengthen healthcare services while enhancing educational facilities for the Pharmacist Professional Study Program, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) has inaugurated the DipoCare Teaching Pharmacy. Located in the Business Center Building within the Undip Tembalang campus area, the pharmacy was officially inaugurated by the Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., on Tuesday (May 26, 2026). Managed under The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip), the facility is expected to serve as a practical learning space for students while also providing more comprehensive healthcare services for the wider community.

Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, Stated that the pharmacy facility will support educational activities at Universitas Diponegoro, particularly in the health sciences. He also expressed appreciation to the Pharmacy Study Program of FK Undip for its collaboration with PT Undip Citra Ciptaprima in developing the facility.

Meanwhile, in his remarks, the Dean of The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip) Prof. Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko M.Kes, SpB, SubSp Onk(K) expressed his appreciation for the opening of the DipoCare Teaching Pharmacy. Prof. Yan Wisnu hopes that the presence of this learning facility will help produce highly competent pharmacists and pharmaceutical professionals.

“We are truly pleased and proud of the inauguration of the teaching pharmacy owned by Universitas Diponegoro, named DipoCare. We hope DipoCare will support education and contribute to producing the best pharmacists and pharmaceutical experts from FK Undip,” said Prof. Yan.

The Dean of FK Undip added that DipoCare is designed not only as a learning facility but also as a healthcare service center involving various professionals in medicine and health sciences. Through this concept, students are expected to gain direct practical experience through a service-based approach integrated with the healthcare needs of the community.

The opening and inauguration of DipoCare were also marked by a free health screening program for the community, involving doctors, dentists, nurses, dietitians, and pharmacists from The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip). The activity received enthusiastic participation from the public and reflected FK Undip’s commitment to bringing healthcare services closer to the community through promotive and preventive approaches.

The inauguration of DipoCare Pharmacy was officially marked by the signing of a commemorative plaque, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Invited guests were then taken on a tour to observe the facilities available inside DipoCare Pharmacy.
