YOGYAKARTA – REPROGUIDE, a digital innovation developed by students of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro (FK UNDIP), won a Silver Medal at the National Empowerment, Innovation, Research, and Art Competition (NEIRA) 2026, held in Yogyakarta on 29–30 August 2026.
REPROGUIDE (Reproductive and Sexual Health Guidance for Development and Education) is a reproductive and sexual health education platform designed to help adolescents access relevant, interactive information tailored to their developmental stage. The innovation was developed through interdisciplinary collaboration between medical and informatics students.
The REPROGUIDE team consists of Alia Nurhaliza Hadari (Kedokteran Undip 2023) as team leader, along with Fahmi Istikmal Akbar (Kedokteran Undip 2023), Muhammad Ihsan Setyawan (Kedokteran Undip 2025), and Bramantyo Kunni Nurrisqi (Informatika Undip 2023), under the supervision of dr. Putri Sekar Wiyati, Sp.OG, Subsp.Obginsos.
The idea for REPROGUIDE emerged from the challenges adolescents face in filtering reproductive health information in the digital environment. The platform applies a personalized education approach by adapting educational materials based on users’ age, gender, and educational level.
To make learning more engaging, REPROGUIDE combines educational materials with interactive features, including videos, quizzes, flashcards, Story Edu, games, and an achievement system. The platform also features an AI Consultation function powered by a Large Language Model (LLM), allowing users to obtain initial information about reproductive and sexual health anonymously.
The AI feature is designed to serve as an educational companion rather than a replacement for healthcare professionals. The platform also incorporates a risk identification mechanism that can direct users to seek professional assistance when indications of serious health conditions or sexual violence are identified.
The collaboration between medical and informatics students is one of the innovation’s key strengths. Medical students contribute to the health content and ensure the validity of the information, while informatics students develop the technological aspects and user experience. Development follows a User-Centered Design approach, including attention to privacy because reproductive health information is personal in nature.
Winning the Silver Medal at NEIRA 2026 demonstrates the ability of Undip students to develop interdisciplinary innovations addressing public health challenges. The team hopes REPROGUIDE can continue to be developed as a supporting educational medium for adolescent reproductive and sexual health, both for independent use and to support learning in schools, families, and healthcare settings.
