BEIJING – A delegation from the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro conducted an academic visit to Beijing Tiantan Hospital, China, on Tuesday (May 13, 2026), as part of efforts to strengthen international collaboration in medical education, neuroscience development, and the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare services.
The delegation from the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro was led by Dean Prof. Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K), accompanied by dr. Muflihatul Muniroh, M.Si., Med., Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs), dr. Nani Maharani, M.Si.Med., Ph.D. (Coordinator for Reputation, Partnership, and Global Connectivity), and Dr. Yuriz Bakhtiar, Ph.D., Sp.BS(K), FINPS (Head of the Neurosurgery Specialist Education Program).
Meanwhile, Beijing Tiantan Hospital was represented by Jia Wang (Vice President), Jia Wenqing (Deputy Director of Neurosurgery Center), Zhang Jialiang (Director of Education Department), and Sun Jing (Director of International and Domestic Cooperation Department).

The visit began with a bilateral discussion on potential collaboration opportunities between the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro and Beijing Tiantan Hospital. The meeting also explored the implementation of AI technologies at Beijing Tiantan Hospital to support medical diagnostics and patient treatment.
During the discussion session, both institutions exchanged perspectives on healthcare technology development, medical education systems, and future opportunities for academic and research collaboration.

Following the discussion, the delegation toured several flagship facilities at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, including the China National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases and the Tiantan Neuroimaging Center of Excellence, where they observed technology-driven neurological research and clinical services. The delegation also visited the Laboratory and Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine to gain insight into China’s approach to medical innovation and healthcare research.

The delegation later continued the visit to Capital Medical University, including its education division and the Simulation Center School of Nursing. The visit provided an overview of clinical training systems, simulation-based learning, and the integration of advanced technology into healthcare education.
Through this academic engagement, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Diponegoro aims to expand its international partnership network while strengthening technology-based and innovation-driven medical education. The institution remains committed to improving the quality of education, research, and healthcare services to stay globally competitive and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in Indonesia.
