Universitas Diponegoro Faculty of Medicine Undergoes Minimum Accreditation Visitation from LAM-PTKes Ahead of Pharmacist Professional Study Program Opening

SEMARANG – The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip) has completed the Minimum Accreditation Visitation for its Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPA) on Friday (May 8, 2026). The assessment was conducted directly by the assessor team from LAM-PTKes, namely Prof. Dr. apt. Daryono Hadi Tjahjono, M.Sc. and Prof. Dr. apt. Teuku Nanda Saifullah Sulaiman, M.Sc..

In his remarks, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Ir. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of Undip, stated that the establishment of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program is part of the university’s support for the government’s initiative to expand pharmacist professional education programs in Indonesia. The university, he added, is fully committed to realizing the establishment of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program at FK Undip.

“Our university is committed to establishing the pharmacist study program. Therefore, if there are aspects that need improvement during the visitation, we are very open to feedback and evaluation,” said Prof. Heru.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nuryanto, S.Gz., M.Gizi, Vice Dean for Resources at the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Diponegoro, expressed hope that the minimum accreditation visitation would provide valuable input in ensuring the feasibility standards and quality assurance of the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program at the national level.

Considering the vital role of pharmacists in the healthcare system, the study program is required to meet strict standards covering academic curriculum readiness, the quality of human resources (HR), as well as the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure for both clinical and laboratory-based learning.

During the visitation process, the assessor team conducted a comprehensive evaluation and verification of the study program’s eligibility documents, while also directly reviewing the readiness of the flagship facilities that will support future pharmacists in developing their competencies. Among the facilities inspected were the OSCE Center, CBT Center, and the educational pharmacy.

Strategic directions and constructive recommendations from Prof. Dr. apt. Daryono Hadi Tjahjono, M.Sc. and Prof. Dr. apt. Teuku Nanda Saifullah Sulaiman, M.Sc. have become valuable references for the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPA) at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro, to continuously pursue improvement and innovation in a sustainable manner.

The visitation also reflected the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP’s transparency and strong commitment to developing a professional study program that is solid, credible, and competitive. All elements of the academic community at the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP collaborated optimally to ensure the successful implementation of the visitation process.
