The ceremony which was attended by all new students at the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University on September 4, 2023 was one of the important moments in their lives as new students. The event was chaired by Dr. Anggorowati, M.Kep., Sp.Mat as the ceremony supervisor. The following were several important points that can be taken from her message:
- Self Education and Character Building: New students were reminded of the importance of having the intention to educate themselves and build strong character. This emphasizes that education is not just about academics, but is also about personality development.
- Sturdy, Strong and Tough Character: In the context of studying at the Medical Faculty study programs, she reminded that students need to have a strong and tough character. This reflects the importance of mental resilience and dedication in the medical profession.
- Independent Campus: It was stated that the independent campus has been implemented in all study programs within UNDIP, including FK UNDIP. Students are given the freedom to choose how they complete their studies and have their own responsibilities in managing their learning.
- Different Ways of Learning: Each student is given the opportunity to determine their own learning strategy because each individual has a different way of learning. The aim is to achieve the profile that has been formulated by each study program.
- Pancasila Character: Students are reminded to practice the Pancasila character in various aspects of their lives. This shows the importance of national and moral values in undergoing education at FK UNDIP.
- How to Graduate on Time: One of the keys to graduating on time is to follow all the instructions prepared by each study program. Discipline and commitment in following the curriculum and academic guidelines are very important.
Apart from that, the ceremony is the beginning of routine activities which is held every Monday. This may reflect FK UNDIP’s commitment in providing students with a comprehensive learning experience, including an independent approach and strong character development.
